Julia

Veterinary Tech Assistant

Julia

My name is Julia, and I have been working in veterinary medicine for nearly five years. I graduated from Towson University with a degree in Animal Science. It was during my freshman year of college that I discovered my true passion for veterinary medicine and realized the meaningful impact I could have on both animals and my community.

Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience managing critical care and emergency cases, which has strengthened my clinical knowledge, technical skills, and ability to remain confident and focused in high-pressure situations. These experiences have allowed me to develop a strong foundation in patient care, and I am confident in my ability to apply my technical skills and knowledge to ensure the health, safety, and overall well-being of every pet in my care.

While I have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences with critical and emergent cases, I have found that my true passion will always lie in general practice. I value the opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients and their pets while providing compassionate, comprehensive care throughout every stage of a pet’s life.

I have greatly enjoyed my time at Howard County Animal Hospital, where I have had the opportunity to serve my community by educating clients about preventative care and helping them make informed decisions about their pets’ health. I have also valued the opportunity to assist with urgent and surgical cases, allowing me to continue expanding my technical skills while providing high-quality, compassionate care. Ultimately, my goal is to use my knowledge, experience, and clinical skills to ensure that every pet receives the individualized care they need to live a healthy and happy life.
