Veterinary surgery performed with safe anesthesia and care

SURGERY

What can I expect for my pet's surgery?

Most procedures require an exam/consult before the day of surgery, however, for some common procedures we may be able to perform an exam/consult the day of. At this exam, you'll be given an estimate and walked through any necessary or recommended pre-anesthetic diagnostics to ensure your pet is healthy enough to undergo anesthesia. Our doctors customize the drugs used per your pet's specific requirements which may include their current health status, procedure performed, and disposition. During the procedure, we are continuously monitoring your pet's vitals while providing heat and cardiovascular support. Once your pet has left surgery and recovered from anesthesia we will call or text you with pick-up instructions. Almost all procedures will go home the same day and you will be given detailed at-home instructions with all the medications needed to ensure a smooth post-operative recovery period. With unstable patients requiring emergency surgery, we may recommend continual monitoring at an emergency clinic depending on their recovery status.
