Dr. Parker Keil
Veterinarian
A 3rd generation veterinarian, whose grandfather started a practice in northeast Baltimore over 50 years ago, Dr. Parker grew up on a farm in northern Baltimore County surrounded by all the animals and critters that come with rural living.
After graduating at the top of his class from Ross University and completing his 4th-year clinical rotation at UC Davis in 2014, he went on to practice at his grandfather’s clinic before moving to California. There devoting time honing his surgical and medical skills through continuing education wet labs, general practice, overnight emergencies, and working at a non-profit organization in downtown LA. Upon returning home in 2018, he initiated a mobile surgical and relief service for hospitals and rescues in the greater Baltimore area. In 2022, he met Dr. Mira and worked at his hospital while Dr. Mira took a month off to recover from surgery. It was during this time that he felt he had found his “spot” to build a community of clients, patients, and co-workers.
Now, as the new owner and lead veterinarian at Howard County Animal Hospital, Dr. Parker is devoted to providing quality and up-to-date veterinary services and pet care to the surrounding communities, of which he is both excited and humbled to be a part.
During his time off, he finds joy in fishing, kayaking, and learning about the world around him through hiking and foraging. On cold and rainy days, he cherishes spending time with his cat, Salty Dog, playing the guitar, gaming with friends, or traveling to warmer climates. He can't wait to meet you and your pets!
